b'Replacing Combination WindowsFrame In ReplacementA very common window configuration is the PictureWindow flanked by two Double Hung Windows.Usually in the Living Room, these windows are a sin-gle unit of individual wood windows attached togeth-er and placed in a single opening in the wall. The most common method of replacing these win-dows is to treat them the same as single windowsand remove the operating sash of the Double-Hungsand the single Picture Window which will leave anopening with stops against which the new replace-ment pocket window can be placed. The old window sash are removed to the outsideleaving the interior stops and trim intact. Exactly aswould be done in an Outside-In install, the newwindows are put out through the opening andbrought back against the interior stops.Window Fitters Guide to Window Installation812020 AWDI, LLC Do not reproduce without permission'
